According to an article titled A Zoonotic Henipavirus in Febrile Patients in China published in the New England Journal of Medicine NEJM 35 people have been affected by the new Langya henipavirus so far. All but 9 of the 35 cases in China were infected with LayV only with symptoms such as fever fatigue and coughing.
